September – Body language and communication in the workplace -Steph Holloway, Elemental Potential

Tuesday 12 September – What you say and how you say it can make or break workplace relationships

Steph is a communication specialist and body language expert. She has been traveling New Zealand for four years and worked with over 1,200 businesses and 4,000 people and we’re priviliged to have Steph speak at our 2nd BizBites event.

This enlightening talk will explain just how much body language plays a part in every day communication and where you miss the clues. The ideal communication in the workplace (and life in general) is compassionate assertiveness according to Steph.

Steph believes that the optimum compassionate assertive communication is a trifecta of three components:

  1. Clear, concise and concrete communication
  2. Decoding in and sending out directional body language
  3. Asking the next obvious question©

Want communication with no ripple effects? Communication that looks for the win-win, not the winner. This is it. Book now for this Biz Bytes event.

Steph is in Wanaka with public events on the weekend of 9th and 10th of September, and available for corporate bookings. Go to www.elementalpotential.com upcoming events to check out her workshops on offer while she’s here and book. Her latest book Ping Pong – Compassionate Assertiveness in Action is available in the online shop.

November – What is Cyber Security and why is it important to your business?

Focus Technology, November 21 2017

Cyber-attacks can happen in a matter of minutes, exposing you to theft of data. Regardless of what is stolen, the result is essentially the same: you lose money, time, resources and potentially your entire business. In today’s online age, the number of threats to businesses and their customers increases every day.

We live in a fast-paced, global economy that relies more and more on data and information carried through cyberspace. As a business, it is important to maintain the physical property you own and protect it against intruders, potential theft and other acts that could cause issues within your company. In the same way, cyber security is as important a need, if not greater, than traditional security precautions.

St Johns Rooms, Wanaka. 12.30-2pm – Hour-long presentation with Q+A at the end. Bring a bite to eat and learn while you lunch.
