Wanaka is located in Central Otago on the South Island of New Zealand. Residents and visitors can enjoy four perfect seasons within a playground of lakes and mountains. Tourism is one of the key industries together with building and development as well as wine making. Many other industries are represented also, as the town continues to grow.

Based on the latest Census, conducted earlier this year, the population for Wanaka currently stands at approximately 6800. The number of businesses continues to grow with approx 130 of them being members of the Wanaka Chamber.
